I believe that Jennifer Government went through the Hero's journey. All the obstacles she overcame and fought through definitely prove to me that she went through the cycle. Jennifer's call to adventure is when she is trying to uncover things about the NRA and fight crime. She hears word about John Nike and his plot to kill innocent people trying to buy the new shoes. So, Jennifer gets the funding and tries to go after John and Hack Nike. The threshold of Jennifer's hero's journey is when she gets word of some kids getting killed when trying to purchase the shoes from Nike. This bothers her and she goes off on her own to try to stop this. She gets very aggressive especially word about John Nike. He's father to her daughter Kate, an eight year old girl. Jennifer encounters many helps and mentors, but mainly she is her own mentor. She mentors herself. Jennifer is very strong minded and willed. Yet, Calvin is a helper too because he's Jennifer's partner. A Challenge that Jennifer goes through is having Kate. This is a big problem because she is neglected and Jen loves her daughter but, cannot spend all the time she wants with her because of her involvement with her job. The Abyss is when she gets shot at the mall. This is a major turning point for Jennifer because she is realizing her mortality and that this is serious. She then contemplates death and how she's alive. This makes her change and not be as crazy angry when she hears the name John Nike. Her transformation occurs when she meets Buy Mitsui. She saves him and in the end he saves her. He takes her mind off of all the stress and they just have "fun" together. Then she finds a babysitter for Kate to be happy with while she goes to Australia. The return is when she finally catches John Nike. Hack and Jennifer finally stop violet and get Kate back all living happily ever after as a family.
